My name is Jenny Copeland, and I am currently the elementary principal at Bob Jones Academy in Greenville, SC. I have several earned degrees in education, including a doctorate in curriculum and instruction, but beyond degrees, I love education. I grew up knowing that was my passion and I love what I do. I feel strongly that technology is not a fad - it is here to stay and this generation is going places beyond what we can imagine and we need to expose and prepare them for that. My passion for this is strong enough that I personally have started and continue to coach our afterschool TechClubs for grades 1-6 and our robotics teams for grades 2-6. Our robotics teams have all been finalists two years running in a very robust international robotics competition, but more than coding, they are learning life skills and I could give them nothing better. I would be honored to share my passion with others in this setting.
